British sculptor, Pete Moorhouse concentrates on installation and public art in many materials, especially metals, creating high quality sculptures for indoor and landscape settings.
His abstract and contemporary figurative works are typically aesthetically minimal emphasising form with strong clean lines. Analogies and metaphors from philosophy, science and theology are visible in many of his extraordinary pieces telling of Pete’s fascination with and exploration of the boundaries and connections between science, religion, art and nature. Some of his recent body of work examines traditional Islamic art, looking at the engravings, tiling and architecture of Mosques and re-interprets these in sculptural form.
All Pete’s sculptures are made to extremely high standards ensuring longevity indoors and outdoors. Innovation is one of the cornerstones of this sculptor’s creativity and he continually experiments with new concepts and forms of sculptural expression as well as investigating new processes and techniques. His visually engaging public artworks include commissions for hospitals, health centres, schools, libraries, cycle paths, regeneration projects, city councils and corporate commissions.
We are thrilled to bring Pete Moorhouse’s work to this part of the world.
